We actually began as a Mechanics garage back in the 50's. The owner of the shop, Jonathan Green, was always passionate about getting vehicles to run more efficiently. However, when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1965, he began to worry about how his small shop would stay in business. By this time, he had already given birth to his children: Jackson and Isabella Green, who now are the co-owners of Cash For Cars.

Over the years, some customers would simply abandon vehicles at the shop. There were 4 cars and 2 trucks that had already been permanently parked for months now. So, with the help of his family, Jon began to metamorphosize his business from a company that spent money repairing cars to a company that spent money buying cars! Over time, they got rid of their mechanics tools and lifts, and eventually bought the land that was right next door. Next, they took down the buildings that had been erected there, and started to file the necessary paperwork that was required to change the name of the business and it's specialty with the Better Business Bureau.
